🌀 Day 13 – Leaky Skin & Toxic Signals
Skin & Immune Storms | #4 🦠 Immune & Lymphatic System of 8 in the Leaky Body Syndrome Series
"If your skin is screaming, your immune system is too." — Dee
💭 Did you know?
Your skin isn’t just your largest organ — it’s also your loudest.
It holds your stress, tells your trauma story and reflects your inner terrain.
For most of my life, I thought I just had “sensitive skin.”
Turns out, I had a leaky body and no one told me.
My skin was trying to speak — I just didn’t know how to listen.
Here’s what my body tried to show me:
• Bleeding white mouldy-looking moles (yes, like the one in this photo — doctors laughed, but I knew better)
• Childhood eczema that turned into adult acne
• Itchy rashes that came out of nowhere
• Flaky, cracking skin that didn’t heal
• Skin cancer cells (yes, real ones — diagnosed)
• Constant inflammation that felt like my skin was on fire
I was told it was normal.
I was told to try a cream.
I even used a chemotherapy cream once.
It destroyed my skin and stressed my liver — while I was already battling mould toxicity and PTSD.
I stopped.
I detoxed. I hydrated. I used Castor Oil and vitamin A & C instead.
I nourished instead of punished.
I lived in cleaner air. I stopped hiding my body.
I began thanking my skin instead of blaming it.
And slowly…
My skin started healing. Even the weird little moles softened.
Even the shame started to fade.
🌿 What Your Skin Might Be Telling You
• “I’m overloaded with internal inflammation.”
• “Your liver and lymph need support.”
• “Your gut is leaking.”
• “Your environment is hurting me.”
• “Please stop trying to fix me. I’m protecting you.”
🦠 Skin Flares = Immune System Alarms
The skin is part of your immune system.
If your skin is reacting, your whole body is on alert.
Many trauma survivors — like me — live in chronic hypervigilance.
Your skin is not vain. It’s vital.
🌼 Skin-Soothing Shifts That Helped Me
• Castor oil packs over the liver and face
• Whole-food vitamin C and mineral support
• Moving to a mould-free home + HEPA filters
• Homemade balms with beeswax, calendula and zinc
• Dry brushing when I wake to move lymph for energy flow
• Collagen support from bone broth or plant-based aminos
• Morning sunlight + mindful mirror moments (yes, I say I love you to my face)
• Not picking, not punishing — just pausing and listening
✨ You are not broken.
You are beautiful, inflamed and trying your best.
Your skin is not your enemy — it’s your oldest, most loyal communicator.
Let it tell its story.
Then write a new one — with softness, not shame.
📸 If you have moles that look white, raised or “mouldy” like mine — please don’t ignore them.
These are signals. Not flaws. Have them checked and listen with love.

P.S. Be mindful with red light therapy if you have dark spots, hyperpigmentation or melasma — it can make certain areas darker depending on your skin’s sensitivity and inflammation level. Always patch test or speak with a trusted holistic skin therapist.
🌿 My Daily Skin-Soothing Routine
For those of you asking how I support my skin naturally — here’s what I do daily (or weekly) to help calm inflammation, detox gently, and rebuild my skin’s protective barrier.
🫖 First Thing Before Food
I start with a cancer-fighting, skin-loving tea to support my liver:
• Warm water + fresh lemon juice
• Organic green tea
• A splash of raw apple cider vinegar (skip if you're in a histamine flare — it may cause nausea or vomiting)
This wakes up the liver gently and sets the tone for a clean, calm body.
🧴 Morning Routine
• Dry brush before anything else — gentle strokes toward the heart to move lymph
• Drink 1 glass of water with minerals before sunrise
• Castor oil pack over my liver (even 15–30 minutes helps)
• Sun gaze (2–3 minutes of indirect morning light to reset cortisol and melatonin)
• Mirror moment — I say “I love you” out loud to my face
• Face splash with cold water — stimulates collagen and calms inflammation
🌿 Throughout the Day
• Whole food vitamin C (like camu camu or amla)
• Avoid processed food, sugar or anything I can’t pronounce
• Homemade skin balm (beeswax + calendula + zinc)
• HEPA-filtered air in my home
• Mindful pauses to breathe, stretch and check in with my nervous system
🍲 Evening Nourishment
• Collagen-rich broth (plant-based or bone broth depending on the day)
• Herbal teas like nettles, calendula or holy basil
• Gently brush skin or do light self-massage before bed
💤 Night Reset
• Keep lights low
• Magnesium oil on feet
• Castor oil on my face, sometimes with a warm cloth compress
• Gratitude prayer to my skin before sleep
✨This is not about being perfect — it’s about creating a peaceful rhythm that your skin can trust.
Let me know if any of these speak to you, or if you’d like help building your own skin-loving rituals. I’m here.
