🌀 Day 15 – Leaky Eyes & Silent Inflammation
🦠 Immune & Lymphatic Cytokine Storm | #4 of 8 in the Leaky Body Syndrome Series
"If your eyes leak at sunrise, your immune system may be too." — Dee
💭 Did you know?
Your eyes aren’t just the windows to your soul —
They’re also mirrors of your internal inflammation.
Mine leak every morning.
Before I’ve even moved.
Before I’ve had a thought.
Before the day begins, my eyes begin to cry.
At first, I thought it was sadness.
Then aging.
Then grief.
But no — this was a silent cytokine storm.
🌞 On humid days, I stay inside.
My body knows what the weather doesn’t.
High humidity + mould = full-body inflammation.
Tears aren’t always emotional —
Sometimes, they’re biological.
💧 Leaky Eye Clues I Missed for Years:
• Constant tearing at sunrise
• Bloodshot, red and inflamed whites
• Light sensitivity and blurry mornings
• Eyelids swelling like bee stings
• Stinging eyes when exposed to carpets, cleaners or damp air
And what did doctors say?
Eye drops. Antihistamines. Anti-anxiety meds.
But no one asked —
Is there mould in your walls? In your vents? On your clothes?
🦠 It Wasn’t Mental Illness. It Was Mould Illness.
It wasn’t menopause or arthritis or “autoimmune flares.”
It was chronic, cytokine-fueled inflammation.
From trauma.
From toxic air.
From unresolved grief.
From a body in constant fight-or-flight.
Last fall, my body collapsed.
I lost my ability to walk and relied on a cane.
Now, I walk again —
Because I detoxed the mould.
Because I learned to listen to what leaked.
🌿 What Your Eyes Might Be Telling You:
• “I’m holding grief from long ago.”
• “Your liver and lymph need love.”
• “There’s too much humidity or mould in the air.”
• “This room isn’t safe — your tears are warning you.”
• “Stop blaming your body. Start protecting your peace.”
✨ Rituals That Help My Eyes Leak Less:
• Mould-free home + HEPA filters in every room
• Castor oil packs near temples + over liver at night
• Homemade saline rinses with trace minerals
• Sunlight exposure through closed eyes in the early AM
• Daily eye gratitude practice — “Thank you for seeing me through”
• Journaling grief to lighten the lymph
💜 Your eyes aren’t failing.
They’re flaring.
They’re flushing what your body can no longer hold.
📷 I’ll be sharing more about how I learned to see with softness —
And how you can too.

🕊️ You’re not broken.
You’re inflamed.
You’re sensitive.
And that sensitivity is sacred.
With softness,

Here’s what I do daily to soothe my leaky eyes and silent inflammation:
🌿 I start the day in silence — no phone, no lights. Just breath and noticing.
🌞 I sit by a window with eyes closed and let natural sunlight filter through my lids.
💧 I use a homemade saline rinse with trace minerals to soothe my eyes (filtered water + pinch of sea salt).
💆🏽♀️ I apply castor oil gently near my temples and liver area before sleep.
🍵 I drink warm water with lemon and trace minerals — not cold.
📓 I journal a single page of grief, releasing whatever is leaking from within.
🌬 I run a HEPA filter + check the weather for high humidity or mould risk.
🧘🏽♀️ I thank my eyes out loud: “Thank you for seeing me through.”
Because I now know —
It wasn’t depression, aging or anxiety.
It was mould.
It was my immune system saying, “Help.”
