🌀 Day 26 of 40 – Leaky Kidneys & Water Retention
💧 Water retention, infections & toxin buildup Urinary system — #6 of 8 in the Leaky Body Syndrome Series
“You’re not puffy, paranoid or broken — your kidneys might be overwhelmed by what you were never taught to release.” — Dee
💭 Did you know?
Your kidneys do more than balance fluids and filter waste. They respond to trauma, track your stress levels and hold onto fear — literally and energetically.
When kidneys are overloaded, inflamed or stagnant, your body may retain water, your eyes or ankles might puff up, and your nervous system may spiral into anxiety or numbness.
I wasn’t just tired or swollen — I was toxic and terrified.
I didn’t need another pill.
I needed permission to let go.
😓 My kidney whispers included:
• Puffy face, eyelids or ankles
• Lower back pain or tension
• Feeling cold, even when others weren’t
• Frequent urination or sudden urgency
• Burning, cloudy or smelly urine
• UTIs or bladder infections
• Chemical or medication sensitivity
• Feeling stuck, stagnant or unsupported
I didn’t know my kidneys were crying for help.
They were holding more than physical waste — they were clinging to emotional waste too.
🍵 I used to detox without gentleness.
Flushes, fasts, supplements… but none of it touched the fear.
No one told me kidneys need calm, connection and comfort.
Not force. Not fear. Not frantic healing.
💡 What I now understand:
• You can’t pee out what your body still feels unsafe to release
• The kidneys store fear — especially unprocessed fear from childhood
• Rest is kidney medicine
• Healing comes when we stop pushing and start listening
🧠 What My Kidneys Were Trying to Say:
• “I’m scared — please slow down”
• “You’re not a failure — you’re flooded”
• “Let go of what’s not yours to carry”
• “Peace is found in presence, not pressure”
• “I can’t flow when you’re holding everything in”
🌿 Kidney Healing Rituals That Helped Me:
• Warm teas: nettle, corn silk or parsley for gentle support
• Feet up the wall for drainage and nervous system reset
• Womb and kidney breathing (placing hands over low back)
• Lemon water in the morning to stimulate gentle detox
• Sound healing with the shhhhhh, ahhhhhh or humming tones to support kidney chi
• Reducing stimulants that strain the kidneys — caffeine, alcohol, synthetic meds
• Journal prompt:
“What fear or fluid am I still holding that I’m ready to release?”
🕊️ You are not lazy, leaky or weak.
You’re learning to flow in a world that taught you to freeze.
Let it go, drop by drop, with compassion and care.

🌿 Daily Kidney Healing Tools for Gentle Release
🫶 Support your flow, soothe your fear, and soften your kidneys — drop by drop.
Morning Ritual:
Warm lemon water to gently wake your detox pathways
Breathe deeply with hands over your lower back — kidney love begins with stillness
Midday Support:
Drink nettle, parsley or corn silk tea
Take 10–15 minutes with feet up the wall to calm the nervous system
Reduce stimulants — swap coffee for tea, silence the phone for rest
Evening Calm:
Practice “shhhhhh” or “ahhhhhh” sounds before bed — calm the chi
Warm castor oil compress over kidneys (if you tolerate)
Light stretching or gentle shaking to move stagnant energy
Throughout the Day:
Stay hydrated — not too fast, not too forceful
Avoid pushing through — pause when your body whispers
Emotional Flow Tools:
Journal: What fear or fluid am I still holding that I’m ready to release?
Let yourself cry, sigh, or exhale out the fear your body stored for decades
Gentle reminder:
You don’t have to hustle to heal.
Your kidneys aren’t weak — they’re wise.
They’re asking you to flow, not freeze.

Mama Lovey Dee
