🌀 Day 32 of 40 – Leaky Mitochondria ⚡ Cellular Energy & Detox Systems
“You’re not lazy, broken or failing — your cells are starved of the safety and support they need to shine.”
~ De-Stress With Dee
💭 Did you know?
Your mitochondria are the tiny power plants in every cell.
They don’t just make energy — they’re also crucial for detox.
When they’re overwhelmed by stress, inflammation, mould mycotoxins or nutrient depletion, they become “leaky,” inefficient and slow.
This isn’t just fatigue. It’s a cellular cry for help.
✨ Signs of Leaky Mitochondria:
• Chronic fatigue that sleep doesn't fix
• Muscle weakness or body heaviness
• Brain fog and slow thinking
• Poor stress tolerance or crashes after activity
• Low body temperature or feeling cold
• Poor detox tolerance (reactions to treatments)
😣 What no one explained to me:
• Your cells need safety to make energy
• Chronic inflammation hijacks energy production
• Mould toxins block mitochondrial enzymes
• Trauma responses keep your cells in survival mode
• Detox requires energy — but energy requires detox
💡 What I now understand:
• My exhaustion wasn’t laziness
• My cells were fighting a war I couldn’t see
• Healing isn’t about “pushing through”
• It’s about creating calm so cells can breathe and heal
🧠 What My Cells Were Trying to Say:
• “I’m not weak — I’m overworked”
• “I’m not lazy — I’m depleted”
• “I’m not broken — I’m conserving energy for survival”
• “Please slow down — I need safety to heal”
🌿 Mitochondria-Supporting Rituals That Helped Me:
• Prioritizing sleep as sacred medicine
• Gentle movement like slow walks or stretching
• Eating nutrient-rich, colourful foods
• Avoiding mould exposure where possible
• Breathwork to calm my nervous system
• Loving self-talk: “It’s okay to rest”
🕊️ You’re not too much. You’re not defective.
You’re a radiant being whose cells just need time, safety and nourishment to recover.
With gentle breaths and cellular compassion,
Momma Lovey Dee :)

🌿✨ Daily Healing Tools for Leaky Mitochondria
(for Cellular Energy & Gentle Detox)
✔️ 1. Sleep as Sacred Medicine
• Wind down with magnesium, herbal tea, and candlelight
• Let your room be cool, dark, and quiet — mitochondria heal in deep rest
• Honour your circadian rhythm — early to bed, early-ish to rise
✔️ 2. Gentle Movement to Spark the Cells
• Walks in nature, yin yoga, or stretching — just enough to create flow
• Movement nourishes mitochondria without draining the battery
✔️ 3. Nutrient-Dense, Colourful Foods
• Eat the rainbow — vibrant fruits and veggies feed your mitochondria
• Include healthy fats, magnesium, B-vitamins and sulfur-rich foods
• I always say: “Food is cellular fuel, not just flavour.”
✔️ 4. Mold & Toxin Reduction
• Avoid damp spaces or musty-smelling rooms
• Use air purifiers or ventilation to help keep your air mould-free
• Detox your diet and your environment, not just your body
✔️ 5. Nervous System Calming & Breathwork
• Practice slow belly breathing for 2–5 minutes daily
• Try box breathing or humming to create vagus nerve tone
• Calm = mitochondrial safety = energy restoration
✔️ 6. Loving Self-Talk & Gentle Pace
• Whisper: “It’s okay to rest. My cells are healing.”
• Give yourself permission to slow down and receive support
• Healing is a marathon of gentleness, not a sprint of willpower
✔️ 7. Daily Mito Nourishment Rituals I Use:
• Morning sunlight on my face (hello, mitochondria!)
• Sea salt + lemon water for hydration and minerals
• Coconut oil or MCT oil for brain fuel when fasting
• Cuddles with the earth (feet on ground = grounding energy recharge)
🕊️ You’re not broken. You’re bioelectric.
Your cells aren’t lazy — they’re trying to heal from what they were never meant to carry.
With mitochondria-safe rituals, you will glow again.
With cellular compassion,
Momma Lovey Dee :)
