💧 Where Peace Leaks: Overheating, night sweats, heat intolerance, emotional “hot surges”
🕊️ “Cool the fire within, find the calm beyond.” ~ Dee
Many people living with inflammation, trauma, menopause/andropause or mold illness struggle with heat dysregulation:
🌡️ Night sweats
🌡️ Hot flashes
🌡️ Heat/cold intolerance
🌡️ Flushing
🌡️ Feeling “on fire” emotionally (rage, shame, panic)
This isn’t just a “sweat gland” issue — it’s your whole body losing its ability to self-regulate temperature.
🦠 Mould & Trauma Links:
• Mold triggers cytokine storms and histamine flare-ups.
• Trauma and chronic stress keep the nervous system on “high alert,” feeding internal heat.
• Menopause, andropause, adrenal burnout add hormonal heat surges.
🔥 Did you know? Your body’s heat regulation is directly tied to inflammation.
When the body can’t cool itself, it’s a sign that your inner storm needs calming.
For firstborns raised in tense, inflamed homes — heat can feel like punishment. Our bodies learn to burn, to hold rage, to hide shame.
But here’s the truth:
When we soothe the inflammation, detox the mould and calm the nervous system — we cool the fire within.
🧠 Somatic Signs of Leaky Heat Balance
• Night sweats soaking your sheets
• Hot flashes at unpredictable times
• Flushing easily in social or stressful moments
• Heat intolerance (or cold swings)
• Emotional “hot surges” — rage, shame, panic attacks
• Restlessness at night, unable to cool down
💔 What Your Body Might Be Saying
• “I’m overwhelmed by inflammation.”
• “I’m holding too much unprocessed anger.”
• “I don’t know how to calm myself.”
• “My hormones are crying out for balance.”
• “My inner fire is out of control.”

🌿 Daily Healing Tools for Leaky Heat Balance
Day 37 – Cooling the Fire Within
💨 Breathwork & Nervous System Soothers
Sitali (Cooling) Breath: Inhale through pursed lips or a curled tongue like a straw, exhale slowly through the nose. Do for 3–5 minutes.
Vagus Nerve Reset: Humming, gargling, or gentle neck stretches to downshift from “fight or flight.”
Cool Cloth Ritual: Place a damp cloth on your forehead or chest while breathing deeply.
🛁 Body-Based Cooling Rituals
Magnesium Bath or Foot Soak: Use Epsom salts or magnesium flakes before bed to reduce night sweats and calm the nervous system.
Lymphatic Brushing (Cool Edition): Use a soft brush or cloth in gentle strokes toward the heart, followed by a cool rinse.
Barefoot Grounding: Stand or sit on cool earth or grass to discharge heat and inflammation.
🍵 Herbal & Nutritional Support
Cooling Teas: Peppermint, hibiscus, chamomile, nettle, or rosehip
Hydration Helpers: Cucumber-mint water, coconut water, or lemon balm infusions
Anti-Inflammatory Foods:
Zucchini, leafy greens, flaxseed, wild blueberries, turmeric, ginger
Avoid histamine-heavy foods like tomatoes, fermented items, and alcohol
🧠 Emotional & Somatic Practices
Anger/Heat Journaling: “What am I burning to say?” “Where do I feel heat in my body when I’m overwhelmed?” “What would cooling compassion feel like right now?”
Cooling Visualization: Imagine a stream of cool blue light flowing through your body, extinguishing inflammation and emotional fire.
Sleep Sanctuary:
Use a fan or cooling pillow
Magnesium-rich dinner (e.g., steamed greens + flax + olive oil)
No screens 1 hour before bed
🌀 Gentle Movement
Restorative Yoga or Yin Poses: Legs up the wall, supported child’s pose, or reclined butterfly
Qi Gong for Cooling Energy: Slow, flowing movements with breath to circulate heat out of the body
❄️ Instant Cooling Tools for Overheated Bodies & Inflamed Nervous Systems
When your body feels like it’s on fire — emotionally or physically — these gentle tools can help you cool down quickly and safely:
💧 Cold Tap Reset: Run cold water over your wrists for 30–60 seconds. This taps into your body’s natural cooling points and helps regulate temperature fast.
❄️ Gel Ice Packs: Place under your armpits, behind your knees, or on the back of your neck before bed. These are powerful cooling zones that help calm the whole system.
🧊 Ice Cube Trick: Gently press an ice cube behind your ears or at the base of your skull for instant relief during a heat surge or panic wave.
🧣 Cooling Neck Wraps: Use water-activated sport wraps or scarves. I keep mine in the fridge and wear it on walks — it’s a game-changer for outdoor peace.
🌬️ Fan-Free Sleep: For the first time in 58 years, I no longer need a fan to sleep. That’s how much my body has cooled from the inside out. I only use a small USB fan now — and only to cool my laptop, not my body.
⚠️ Electronics & Energy Boundaries: Never place electronics directly on your body — especially your lap or knees. Always use a pillow or cloth barrier. I’ve never worn earplugs for this reason either. Sleep is sacred. Keep your bedroom free of electronics whenever possible — even chargers and phones. Everything emits energy, and your nervous system deserves a true rest.
💬 Mantra for the Day
“I release the fire that no longer serves me. I cool my body with compassion, breath, and peace.”
