🧠Day 1 of 40 ~ Leaky Brain: When Your Mind Feels Wired, Tired & Foggy — You’re Inflamed
Welcome to Day 1 of the Leaky Body Series, where we explore how trauma, toxins, and stress quietly leak peace from our internal systems — beginning as early as the womb.
Today, we begin with the Brain — the command centre of your entire body.
If you’ve struggled with:
Brain fog
Mood swings
Memory lapses
Or felt like your thoughts don’t belong to you...
You're not wild of mind — you're inflamed.
🧠 The Brain: Your First Nervous System
Many of us were born into environments that felt unsafe, unpredictable, or overwhelming.
This wires the nervous system to survive, not thrive — often beginning in the womb.
💧Where Peace Leaks from the Brain:
Brain fog
Memory loss
Mood instability
Emotional overwhelm
Headaches or pressure
Difficulty focusing or making decisions
🦠 Links to Trauma, Mould and Stress:
Growing up in stressed, tense low income, old mouldy homes or military housing
Prenatal exposure to maternal stress
Birth trauma, early surgeries, or prolonged crying spells
Alcohol, sugar, and ultra-processed foods degrading the blood-brain barrier
Chronic inflammation from unresolved PTSD or CPTSD
The blood-brain barrier is meant to protect your mind.
But trauma, toxins, poor sleep and chronic stress can weaken it — allowing inflammatory molecules to leak into your brain.
This is known as Leaky Brain, which may show up as:
Low mood
Anxiety
Forgetfulness
Attention difficulties
⚠️ Often Mislabelled As:
Anxiety
Depression
ADHD
Bipolar disorder
Early cognitive decline
These are not who you are — they are often symptoms of deeper root causes like inflammation, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation.
🌿 Daily Healing Practice for Brain Peace
🧘♀️ De-Stress Tip of the Day:
Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana) – 3 minutes
Balances brain hemispheres, soothes a wild mind, and signals safety to the body.
🍃 De-Tox Tip of the Day:
Avoid alcohol, caffeine and sugar today.
Instead, sip calming herbal teas like lemon balm, chamomile or tulsi to reduce inflammation.
💨 De-Bloat Tip of the Day:
Walk for 10 minutes after meals.
This gentle movement brings oxygen to the brain and supports digestion and clarity.
🧹 Declutter Tip of the Day:
Unfollow or mute energy-draining social media.
Protect your mental peace like sacred ground.
🌙 Sleep Tip of the Day:
Turn off screens an hour before bed.
Dim lights and place a cool cloth on your forehead or the back of your neck — it calms the brain and encourages melatonin.
🕊️ Quote of the Day:
“When you calm the mind, you calm the body. Peace is your natural state — inflammation is just noise.”
