If you are new to our little corner of the world, I want you to know that while I continue my own healing journey and share what Iām learning along the way, the place where I gather most regularly with our community is on YouTube.
Each evening at 7 PM ET, I offer Soul Peace Anchors⢠on the YouTube Community Tab at @DeStressWithDeeSOS. This is part 2 from last nightās post discussing how our Soul never dies.
If you havenāt done so please hit the notification bell on the Youtube Channel so you donāt miss any videos on how to regenerate new cells frugally, for peaceful sleep, stools, Soul and a PeacefulUā¢.
These daily moments are a gentle invitation to pause for peace, reconnect with your sacred temple and create more moments of stillness, compassion and connection on your journey to a PeacefulUā¢.
This space is for the rare birds who have spent years carrying too much, sensing too much, giving too much or wondering why they experience the world differently.
From Ironwoman to Inner Peace: The Power of the Pause at 60
How a lifetime of competing, achieving and pushing taught me that your sacred temple is not a machine ā you are a living human animal deserving of rest, repair and peace.
Today, in Canadaās Capital, incredible athletes are swimming, cycling and running an Ironman.
Years ago, I would have understood that drive.
I lived it.
I was a competitive swimmer.
A gymnast.
A badminton player.
A track and field athlete.
A personal trainer.
A dancer.
I competed in many different events and spent years challenging myself to do more.
Run faster.
Run longer.
Tumble more.
Win more.
Achieve more.
I was blessed with a body that loved movement and a brain that was always searching for the next challenge.
I call myself a rare bird because I have always experienced the world differently.
But that gift also came with a lesson I had to learn:
My worth was never in the push.
For many athletes and high achievers, perfectionism becomes part of our identity.
We believe that if we stop striving, we will stop being valuable.
We confuse exhaustion with dedication.
We confuse survival with strength.
We forget that we are not machines.
Machines break down.
And when we treat our sacred temple like a machine, eventually our human animal begins asking us to listen.
We are living beings.
We are nature.
We are energy.
If you are waking up exhausted, your energy is leaking through 40+ leaky body barriers due to stored toxins and traumas trapped in your tissues since the womb. Combined with living in a constant Cell Danger Response, your body is simply unable to pause, reset and de-stress.
Thank you for the feedback on caffeine and its cellular toxicity. Because my son and I do not drink coffee or caffeinated drinks, I sometimes forget to share things I assume everyone already knows.
If you wake up exhausted and immediately grab coffee, caffeine acts like pouring gasoline on an active cellular fire.
Last week, I shared both a deep dive video and a short explaining exactly how harmful coffee is to our cells, especially when we are already go-go-going and carrying a heavy toxic load.
You do not need a stimulant; you need hydration. When you wake up, you are dehydrated and asking your kidneys and liver to work overtime. Drink two full glasses of pure water right away instead.
You are the medicine.
We need pauses.
We need restoration.
We need moments where our nervous system can feel safe.
For years, I pushed through.
I ignored whispers from my body.
I believed more training was always better.
I believed harder was always stronger.
But healing taught me something different.
The strongest thing I can do now is listen.
After years of trauma, mould exposure, environmental stressors and chronic health challenges, I began connecting my own dots.
I started looking at the full picture:
The fuel we put into our bodies.
The environments we live and work in.
The relationships that keep us walking on eggshells.
The stress we carry.
The things we do repeatedly because we donāt know how to pause.
This is why I created DBM-5⢠Womb & Walls Trauma & Toxin 40-Day Flush.
DBM-5⢠is built around creating more space for biological stillness ā supporting the body by reducing unnecessary burdens where we can and returning to the rhythms of Mother Nature.
Not rushing.
Not forcing.
Not fighting ourselves.
Healing at Mother Natureās pace.
Today, my movement looks very different.
I use my vibration plate.
I do long planks.
I do push-ups.
I do deep primal squats.
I walk.
I stretch.
I breathe.
I move because I love my body.
Not because I am trying to prove I deserve love.
Not because I am trying to earn my worth.
Not because I need another medal.
I am loving myself back to health.
Your worth is not in the push, Sweet Soul.
Your worth is in the pause.
Every pause becomes a Soul Peace Anchor.
Every Soul Peace Anchor brings you closer to a PeacefulUā¢.
Your homework this week:
Notice how you speak to yourself.
When you catch yourself being harsh, pause.
Place your hand on your heart and say:
āIām sorry, Little Me.
Iām here now.
Iām learning to protect you.
I may not be perfect, but I promise I wonāt abandon you.
We will keep moving forward together.ā
Healing is not perfection.
Healing is coming home to yourself.
This space is for the rare birds who have spent years carrying too much, sensing too much, giving too much or wondering why they experience the world differently.
You are welcome here.
Together, we are learning to honour our human animal, listen to our bodies and heal at Mother Natureās pace.
