Soul Peace Saturday: The “Beta Tester” Burden 🧬
As firstborns, we didn’t just enter a family; we entered a laboratory.
We were the “Beta Testers” for parents who often hadn’t yet looked at their own mother and father wounds.
If they were unhealed, we were drafted into service as the “third parent” or the “emotional stabilizer” before we even knew how to stabilize ourselves.
1. The Trauma-Tuned Body
Many of us began our journey with a challenging birth—a “crisis mode” entrance that set our internal thermostat to “High Alert” from second one.
The Physical Toll: From having tonsils removed early to dealing with the “toxic flush” of maternal overload, our bodies were the first to absorb the environmental and emotional impact.
The “Machine” Fallacy: We treat our bodies like high-performance machines—eating clean, working out and “stress cleaning” to maintain control. But we are nature, not machines. When our brain feels like it’s on fire and our sleep is off, it’s our nature screaming for a “pause”.
2. The Healer’s Magnetism
Because we grew up as emotional stabilizers, we often attract “Dark Souls”—individuals who seek out our high-sensing energy because we are wired to “fix” and “feel” for others. We carry the weight of the world until our cells begin to buckle under the pressure.
3. Somatic Sovereignty:
The Reach & Tap, how I release pain without medication when pain arises in the body.
We don’t always need a hospital to find our way back to centre. When the trauma tries to “stick out” or manifest as physical pain:
The Reach: We stretch to the sky and bend back with hands extended to create space in the torso, moving past the “punches” of the past.
The Tap: We use rhythmic tapping to ground the nervous system and remind our cells that they are safe now.
The Light: Using tools like red light therapy on the neck, tummy, spine, knees, where ever it hurts to soothe the “inflammation of the soul” and finally allow for restorative sleep.
