Stop Being a Machine: The “Healthy” Addictions Hiding Your Trauma
Why “Beast Mode” and childhood treats are keeping your cells from reaching a state of Peace.
Ask not whether life is treating you well, but whether are YOU treating your soul and your future cells well?
Today marks 438 Sundays of choosing my cells over my addictions.
As we wrap up National Public Health Week, I am reminded that the greatest public health act we can perform is moving our own bodies out of Sympathetic “Machine Mode” and into a state of peace. You cannot heal the public until you nurture the person.
Stop Pathologizing Your Survival
Let’s get one thing straight: C-PTSD is a response to abnormal situations, not a disorder.
You aren’t “broken.” Your body wasn’t “wrong” for being in survival mode; it was responding to a lack of a Safe Nest.
When we look at Black Maternal Health Week, we see how these systemic stressors force our biology into survival responses before we even have a voice.
We often wonder where our addictions and “guilty pleasures” began.
Look back. Those habits you are addicted to now?
They are likely the exact same treats your parents gave you to keep you quiet, to reward you or to comfort you.
We are not just craving the hit; we are trying to heal a Mother or Father wound with things that further deplete our cells.
The “Healthy” Trap
To my high-sensing, type-A perfectionist parentified, petrified firstborn athletes: we cannot outrun trauma.
I worked out too hard and lived in mouldy gyms because it was how I de-stressed.
If you cannot stop, it is an addiction. You might have clean labs but if you have a fatty liver and a damaged microbiome, your body is telling the truth your “Machine Mode” tries to hide.
The Biological Bottom Line
When you live in “Beast Mode,” you force a constant Sympathetic stress response. This “grind” is a distraction for depression.
Release the shame.
Your survival habits kept you here, but they won’t take you where you’re going.
True rebirth requires every non-toxic choice for your soul’s renewal. Healing only happens when we move into the Parasympathetic state of rest so we can move into the next phases of the DBM-5 to detox, de-bloat, declutter for deep peaceful sleep.
Stop out running trauma and treating the wound with toxins.
Start nurturing your cells & Soul to rest in peace in your moments.
The only person who can care for you is you. Not a pill.
You are nature and mother nature is your medicine cabinet.
Namaste in PTSD Peace NOW.

We don’t rely on man-made pills to mask the noise; we use the DBM-5 to listen to what the cells are actually saying.
Find your tribe of high-sensing sober souls who understand that cellular age is the only metric that matters.
Let’s move out of “Machine Mode” and into Peace together.
