Before it became an addiction, it was an attempt to survive.
This Sober Soul Peace Sunday, we’re going underneath the craving — and opening the door to Dear Momma Lovey Peace: Ask Me Anything.💜
Before the addiction, what was your body and Soul trying to soothe on this Sober Soul Peace Sunday Vol. 7.
Before it became an addiction, it was an attempt to survive.
Sweet Soul, how many times have you said:
“Why can’t I stop?”
I know I did.
But what if we asked a different question?
What am I trying to soothe?
For many people, alcohol or another addictive behaviour can become a learned way of finding temporary relief from stress, loneliness, overwhelm, trauma, grief or uncomfortable emotions.
Addiction is complex. There is no single cause.
But instead of beginning with shame, I want us to begin with curiosity.
What happened five minutes before the craving?
What happened five hours before it?
Were you hungry?
Angry?
Lonely?
Tired?
Overwhelmed?
Triggered?
Did you need connection, nourishment, movement, quiet, rest or simply to feel safe?
This is why one of the tools I teach is:
H.A.L.T. & HUM 💜
I want to create a little humming movement.
When you’re triggered, overwhelmed or hearing that craving voice, pause before you reach.
H.A.L.T.
Hungry? Angry? Lonely? Tired?
Then breathe — and HUM WITH ME.
Humming is one simple way to use your voice and a longer exhale to help settle your body in the moment. This week, I’ll be going deeper into the practice and why I use it.
If you try it, share your hum on social media and use:
#HumWithMe 💜 #HumWithDee
Let’s see how far one little hum can travel.
Pause. Breathe. Hum.
Soul Peace. World Peace.

And remember, Sweet Soul:
Your worth is not in the push.
It is in the pause.
💌 DEAR MOMMA LOVEY PEACE — ASK ME ANYTHING
There is something new I want you to know about.
You can ask me anything.
What have you always wanted to ask but felt too embarrassed, ashamed or afraid to say out loud?
What keeps you up at night?
Maybe it’s about sobriety, cravings, trauma, food, sleep, your stools, your nervous system, relationships, parenting, grief, your body or something you’ve never told another Soul.
You don’t need to put your private question in a public comment.

I won’t be able to personally counsel or answer every question privately by email, but your question may inspire a future Sober Soul Peace Sunday, LIVE, YouTube Community post, Soul Letter or article.
I can remove or change identifying details to protect your privacy. If I ever wanted to use your actual words in my book, I would ask your permission first.
There is no question too embarrassing to ask.
💜 Real questions. Loving answers.
☮️ COME HOME TO YOUR SOUL EACH NIGHT

A little nightly pause from the noise.
A place to come home to yourself.
Soul Peace. World Peace.
