Thank you for being here. For my fellow "Silent Observers" and athletes who need the data behind the story, here is the context:
1. The "Toxic Ground" Proof:
My mother was a brilliant lab tech at Agriculture Canada. Her workplace was eventually declared so toxic that they had to use explosives to level the building. They couldn’t even rebuild on the site because the ground was poisoned. Yet, the medical system treated her for "mental illness" instead of environmental poisoning.
2. The Science: Misophonia and "dark thoughts" are often the result of neuroinflammation (a "brain on fire") caused by CIRS, mould and high-stress environments. When the body is in a cytokine storm, the brain cannot regulate mood.
3. The Video: I’ve recorded a deeper dive into how our highly sensitive bodies are built to warn us of danger—and why it’s not "all in your head."
I am writing letters to Parliament this week. If you have been dismissed by the system, please share your story below or DM me. We need to change these laws before March 2027.
Thank you for sharing this. Your neighbour’s story is such a clear and painful example of what so many of us have lived.
When the exposure stopped, the symptoms resolved. That alone tells us this was never “just anxiety.” My menopause symptoms resolved as well and so did my arthritis, which turned out to be fungal in nature.
You’re absolutely right that this is a systemic blind spot in medicine and not just right now. This has been happening for decades here in Canada.
I’ve been documenting these patterns on my YouTube channel long before Long COVID gave language to immune collapse and neuroinflammation.
Highly sensitive bodies have been sounding the alarm for a very long time but our symptoms were routed into psychiatry instead of environmental medicine.
If doctors don’t look at air quality, housing, mould, chemicals, insomnia and cumulative stress, they miss the cause and only label the response.
This is deeply personal for me. My symptoms were lifelong. I grew up on military bases and in low-income housing, environments where chemical exposure, chronic stress and poor air quality were common and rarely questioned. My nervous and immune systems were shaped there.
And despite doing everything “right” for my son during the first 1,000 days, he lives with a leaky body too. This is the part that breaks many parents. It shows us this isn’t about effort or perfection. It’s about cumulative exposure, inherited immune vulnerability and environments we often cannot control.
When a mother carries chronic stress or toxic exposure, the developing immune system is shaped under those conditions. Love and best practices matter deeply, but they cannot always override biology formed under pressure.
This is why I created a gentle 40 day trauma and toxin detox for mothers who want to restore their microbiome, support their liver and create a peaceful nest for their newborn.
And it begins with what your neighbour did. Removing the exposure. If she would ever feel open to it, I would love to connect.
This is why the conversation must move beyond blame and beyond psychiatry alone. We need environments that allow bodies to heal, not systems that tell families they are imagining what their nervous systems are living.
Thank you for seeing this and for adding your voice. Stories like yours help make the invisible visible.
